A 26-year-old woman disfigured by a tumor has received a new face. It was the second such transplant in Poland. The woman, identified only as Joanna. Doctors have stated that a Polish woman is in a stable condition. The surgery lasted 23 hours. The transplant was carried out on 4 December 2008 at the Centre of Oncology in Gliwice, southern Poland.
