Renata Wrzosek lost her arm in September 2008 due to traumatic injuries in a traffic accident near Kazimierz Dolni. She was transported to the St. Jadwiga Šlonska hospital in Trzebnica, but the arm could not be saved. It had to be amputated. “I couldn’t accept it.”Still in the hospital, I decided to get my lost arm back. I knew it was possible, because I heard that Damian Szwedo from Wroclaw had got a new hand almost at the same time here in Trzebnica” she said.
